I love to scuba dive, and my husband and I have been diving and snorkeling all over the world for 25 years. I paint marine life in watercolors, and originally took up underwater photography to get subject matter for my paintings, and fell in love with photography. My most popular underwater images are available here as prints on photo paper and canvas. I spent 10 years shooting 35mm slides with a Nikonos V aquatic camera and a Nikon N50 SLR in an underwater housing using professional strobe lighting to bring back the color lost to filtration by the water at depth. I switched to digital photography in 2005, and now shoot with an Olympus E300 Digital SLR in an underwater housing with professional strobe lighting. With the exception of minor adjustments to brightness, contrast and color balance, and removal of dust, stratches and spots, I do not digitally alter my photographs.
